The Microlight Club is small and informal; we meet at least once a month to drink beer and talk about the weather.
The exact day and location are sorted out on WhatsApp and Facebook to suit as many members as possible. At the moment everyone seems to like meeting in Maidstone at The Rifle Volunteers ME14 1EU [map] before having a meal at Narai Thai Palace ME14 1RH [map].
The members fly all sorts of microlights from all sorts of airfields across Kent and East Sussex.
We organise various events and trips, including the big weekend fly-ins on every microlight pilot's calendar, such as Popham (microlight fly-in and trade fair) and Spamfield (fly-in to Sandown on the Isle of Wight). The French are very keen on anything related to aviation and we go on two or more French / European touring holidays a year.
Itís a friendly club and the members are always pleased to meet new people, especially if itís to chat about their passion.
